About the Founder:

                      Mr. A.K.Y Syed Abdul Kader is a renowned educationalist, a pioneer businessman and a humble humanitarian. He owns A.K.Y Timbers in which all building materials are kept for sale under a single roof. Our Chairman’s other business concerns are A.K.Y Sawmill (The timber Importer), A.K.Y Realty (P) limited (The Genuine leading land & building Promoters). Our Chairman has visited many countries and has enriched his knowledge and experience. Other than these business concerns our Chairman is also the founder of A.K.Y Charitable and Educational Trust which renders a helping hand to large number of people and also does many social welfare activities from the back stage. Now A.K.Y Charitable and Educational Trust has decided to extend its educational service on a large scale by establishing an educational concern in the name of A.K.Y Polytechnic College, which aims at the development of young and energetic minds particularly from the rural background.

             A.K.Y Polytechnic is established with a noble ambition to provide skill oriented technical education to the rural based students in the under developed areas of Tirunelveli and make them as Eagles to tackle all the hardships of the society. Engineering education is the activity of teaching knowledge and principles related to the professional practice of engineering. The diploma education includes the initial education for becoming an engineer in any advanced field of his study. The infrastructure facilities in the college are made available within the unique green environment and the serene atmosphere are greatly conductive to help the learning community.

              As per this Chinese proverb, A.K.Y Polytechnic College has been established with the primary ambition to train and educate young talents in various fields of engineering. Education in its general sense is a form of learning in which the knowledge, Skills, Values, beliefs and habits of a group of people are transferred from one generation to the next through discussion, teaching, training, and or research. We are very alert and ambitious that every student who gets his admission in A.K.Y Polytechnic should complete his course with good percentage of marks and leave the campus with more than one offer for his appointment for his future career.
